The Revision Cloud command is quite customisable according to the revision requirements and aids in identifying parts of the design where updates or modifications have been performed.
Command: XLINE
Syntax:
- XLINE: Starts the construction line command.
- You can choose from several options when creating construction lines:
- Horizon: Draws a horizontal construction line.
- Vertical: Draws a vertical construction line.
- Angle: Draws a construction line at a specific angle.
- 2 Points: Draws a construction line between two points.
- 3 Points: Draws a construction line that passes through three points.
Example 1: Drawing a Horizontal Construction Line
- Type
XLINEin the command bar. - Choose the Horizon option or type
H. - Click anywhere in the drawing area or specify a point to place the line.
- The line will extend infinitely in the horizontal direction.
Example 2: Drawing a Construction Line at an Angle
- Type
XLINEin the command bar. - Choose the Angle option or type
A. - Specify the starting point for the line.
- Input the angle (in degrees) you want the line to have. For example, typing
45will create a line at a 45-degree angle. - The line will extend infinitely at the specified angle.
Example 3: Drawing a Construction Line Through Two Points
- Type
XLINEin the command bar. - Choose the 2 Points option or type
2P. - Click two points in the drawing area. The construction line will pass through these points, extending infinitely in both directions.
Additional Tips:
You can erase construction lines with the ERASE command when they are no longer needed.
Construction lines are not printed, so they won’t affect the final output.
